Food

There is so much talk of it! From neighborhood bbqs, film festivals, tv shows (several a day), food around me 24 hours a day, supermarkets and restaurants on every corner, one cannot avoid to think it's pentiful everywhere.
How wrong this assumption is! There are still thousands of kids and adults dieing every day as a consequence if hunger or severe malnutrition. They are passing away because they have no access to food (and safe drinking water for that matter).
How severe distribution inequalities are- how much food goes daily to waste and how many kids dream of a better tomorrow with something to eat for breakfast? When will we fix systemic failures? When will we meet the millenium development goals?
When will there be no more starving kids?
I am still looking at a cooking show.
I am not adding a photo - hungry kids should not be photographed and displayed for our entertainment! They should be fed!
